Summertime is finally here and that means your children will have a lot of free time. It’s a great opportunity for them to relax from their school demands, and it is also a great time for them to improve their reading skills.

Your children need to keep their brains stimulated and a great way to do it is reading! This activity will transform your children into good readers, which is a fundamental skill for a great academic achievement. At The Tutoring Center in Hillsborough, we are aware of this. Library

This wonderful place will offer to your children thousands of reading options, plus some libraries have summer programs. Don’t forget that the librarian can always suggest good titles!

Get Involved

It’s important that your children choose what they want to read; that way they will enjoy it and they won’t look at it as an obligation. Make sure to ask them about the stories, characters and other details that encourage them to continue reading.

Be a Model 

Your will always be a hero for your children; they will always tend to imitate your behaviors. Remember to have plenty of reading material in your house and try to read in front of your children.

Summer school It’s a great opportunity to review the school material, plus it will provide academic skills. It will also help to get your children out of the house.
